Bernd Hoogkamp, Director of Product Management – Voice and Mobile at TeliaSonera International Carrier (TSIC), will speak at the COMPTEL PLUS FALL 2013 Convention & Expo, taking place September 23-26 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida.
On September 25th at 11:00 AM, Mr. Hoogkamp will join fellow expert panelists from Global Capacity, Cbeyond and Neustar on the ‘TDM to IP: Preparing Your Business for the Transition’ panel, part if COMPTEL’s The Game Changer: Innovation Strategies for a Competitive Advantage series. The speakers will examine the evolution of the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to IP technology, looking closely at signaling systems and databases as well as the operational and economic benefits of VoIP interconnection and transport.
Mr. Hoogkamp holds 14+ years of telecom expertise in the areas of roaming, IP and TDM technologies, interconnection and LTE. His perspective will showcase how today’s innovative service providers such as TSIC are leading the TDM to IP transition and meeting the growing demands of the mobile customer community through new technical innovations such as the TeliaSonera IPX platform.
TSIC launched TeliaSonera IPX in May of 2013. As of the largest IPX networks launched to date, TeliaSonera IPX delivers Voice, Roaming, Signaling, Messaging and Video services to customers across the globe over a single port. Purpose-built to meet the exploding bandwidth and mobility demands of today’s generation of end-users, TeliaSonera IPX exceeds GSMA and i3forum requirements and offers its operators a scalable and secure network complete with end-to-end SLAs while providing end customers with enhanced quality service and connectivity. The platform is carried on TSIC’s 100G-enabled network, which connects North America, Europe and Asia, and spans 200 Points of Presence worldwide. TeliaSonera IPX is just one of TSIC’s driving forces behind the ‘Anywhereization’ trend, providing ‘always on’ connectivity to meet the demand for content anywhere-not just somewhere.
