Everyone in the telecommunications industry has been talking about how to improve services and increase the bottom line by using small cell and DAS solutions. On Saturday, October 12th, the conversation will come to Las Vegas in the form of a panel at this year’s WISPAPALOOZA conference.
WISPAPALOOZA will feature seven days of hands-on training, interactive, educational sessions on technical aspects, and seminars on business and marketing strategies. There will be nearly 100 vendors in attendance, representing the fiber optic and tower infrastructure, cloud service, software and VoIP spaces.
The presentation on small cell and DAS, titled “New Business Opportunities: Small Cells and Wholesale DAS,” will focus on the coverage needs and challenges faced by large venue owners in the healthcare, education and entertainment industries. It will also discuss the macrocell offload requirements that are currently creating the need for small cell and DAS solutions.
This panel will be moderated by INOC’s Senior Director of Business Services Art Meierdirk. It will also feature the EVP of Wireless Services at EdgeConneX Doug Wiest as well as Business Development Director for National Accounts at Taqua LLC Jorge Forero as panelists. The panel will delve into the specific needs that are being created with small cell and DAS, and will also highlight appropriate business solutions that organizations can adopt. It will discuss how carriers currently need to offload large users from the macrocell, and will point to the need for key user coverage. Those in attendance can expect to learn about new opportunities that are being created following the past failures of former business models.
“New Business Opportunities: Small Cells and Wholesale DAS” will run on Wednesday, October 16th, from 9:00 to 10:00 am. For more information about WISPAPALOOZA 2013, and to learn about what else the conference has to offer, please click here.
